Beginner Photography Tips and Techniques to Taking Awesome Shots

This article will give you some beginner photography tips that will help you take better photos as quick as possible. The main subject: Composition.

When you take a photo, you are creating something. You are composing your shot. Some people naturally can compose great shots and others are not so great.

Now, composing shots can be a gift you have or something you can learn. Either way, the same techniques are used.

Technique 1: The Center Phobia

When you take pictures you are going to want to get afraid of taking pictures in the middle. Avoid it at all costs...at least for a start. Try placing the subject to the other sides of the frame. Of course, you can always place a subject in the middle, however, you should only do this when you want a photo to be like that, not because you're lazy.

Technique 2: Add Depth

A photo is a two dimensional object. It's paper. It has no depth. Our eyes, however, see with depth. So, if you want your photos to look better you are going to want to add more depth by:

-Using lines to lead from the front to the background

-Use depth of field to blur the background or foreground

-Add asymmetrical balance and balance objects in the foreground with the background

Now, using some of these compositional techniques will get you to take better pictures. However, photography is also technically oriented as well. You can have the best composition every but if your picture is out of focus nobody will notice the nice photo. They'll think of you as a beginner.

It is important that you balance your artistic skills with technical skills so you can take great photos.
